Abi Wright has radical plans to tackle discrimination in the spa industry. During her first few years in the sector, Wright noticed that people with cancer and physical disabilities were often poorly accommodated by spas around Europe. She has since started one of the biggest spa travel companies in Europe, Spabreaks, which aims to improve accessibility for those who need it most. Under the umbrella of Spabreaks, Wright runs initiatives such as Spa for All – which aims to assess and improve spas’ inclusivity levels – and Spa for Me, an initiative to help mothers suffering from postnatal depression get pampered and receive the support they need.
