Åke Paulsson is the CEO and founder of EcoRub, an organisation that recycles rubber and converts it into useful materials. For five decades, Paulsson has been working to create environmentally friendly solutions. After gaining his chemical engineering degree, he became concerned about the outflow of heavy metals, sulphuric acid and other pollutants from the Boliden smelter at the Rönnskärsverken plant in Sweden. This set him on a mission to develop technology that minimises the effects of these toxic materials, eventually leading him to found EcoRub. Paulsson runs EcoRub with a vision to contribute to a world in which the environment and labourers are both looked after.
