Marcos Constandse has more than 20 years of experience in architecture, real estate development and sustainable tourism. His career began when he earned an architecture degree from Mexico City’s Universidad Iberoamericana, where he also gained a specialisation in business administration. His passion for sustainability means he strives to ensure that each company he is involved in places an emphasis on corporate social responsibility.

Constandse is a long-time promoter of the Riviera Maya’s sustainability movement, which began in 1990 with the opening of Xcaret Park. He serves as the chief board member at Experiencias Xcaret and CEO of Destino Xcaret; he also holds C-suite positions at a number of the group’s other ventures.

Constandse’s innovative vision and vast experience has led him to take on responsibility for strategic planning at the company. He also oversees the financial, legal and corporate governance departments of the business.

Today, Constandse’s primary challenge is developing and launching Destino Xcaret resorts and the new All-Fun Inclusive package, which grants guests hotel accommodation, complimentary food and beverages, transport to and from Cancun Airport and unlimited access to the chain’s parks (Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, Xavage and Xoximilco). The Xichen and Xenotes tours are also included in the package.

The eco-friendly Destino Xcaret development is set to feature a 6,000-room capacity across multiple hotels, a convention centre, shopping area and 12,000-seat stadium, all integrated with Experiencias Xcaret’s services.

In his current role, Constandse has helped shape Experiencias Xcaret into a company that showcases the very best of Mexico through top-class gastronomy and locally inspired design and architecture. With the All-Fun Inclusive package, Constandse is positioning the company as a leader in the sustainable tourism industry.
