Domus Semo Sancus’ aim is to ‘make lives better’ by providing financial services to the world’s underbanked population. CEO E Jay Saunders founded the company in 2014 in the Turks and Caicos Islands, with the goal of ensuring that financial inclusion is always extended to the people who need it most. The company is constantly looking for new ways to bridge the e-commerce divide; it is currently developing a pre-paid digital wallet. Prior to establishing the firm, Saunders was co-founder and CEO of telecommunications company Digicel TCI, a firm that in 2006 broke the 100-year monopoly of the islands’ then-incumbent telecoms carrier, bringing competition and diversity to the sector for the first time.
