Natalie Mekelburger joined Coroplast’s sales and marketing team in 1994, having graduated from the University of Augsburg with a business administration degree just three years earlier. At the company, she worked her way up to the role of managing director and then, in 2006, became chair of the board, where she remains today. Mekelburger has been sure to preserve the flat hierarchies and straightforward decision-making of the family business. She supports entrepreneurial spirit in the company, encouraging staff at all levels to take initiative and think beyond the status quo; this is reflected in the company’s ongoing digitalisation efforts.
