Henning Gramann’s career has been a lengthy and varied one: he has worked as a project leader, treasurer and professor, all in the field of ship recycling. Gramann’s time in each of these positions led him to become CEO of GSR Services, a consultant and service provider for ship recyclers and owners. In addition to its other services, the company advises its clients on how to comply with regulations and standards. Gramann established the company to improve ship recycling systems, which were harming both the untrained workers undertaking the work without appropriate safety measures and the environment, which was being polluted as a result of dangerous dismantling practices.
